Checklist |
When
it comes to a living creature's health, it is
certainly not neurotic to keep a daily, mental
checklist of items to monitor within its environment
or its own vitals. Aquariums can be equipped with
thermometers and other "meters," while the fish can
easily be observed for abrasions or other health
factors.

Daily Checklist
Performing a daily
check on this equipment, as well as following these
health tips, will help ensure the longevity and
comfort of your aquarium.
- Thermometer:
proper temperature and working correctly
- Water Flow: all
filters, pumps, etc. are keeping proper flow
- Fish Movement:
lethargic? not active?
- Fish Body:
abrasions? deformities/growths?
- Fish Community:
everyone getting along?
Other checks that
could be performed weekly instead:
- Tubing:
blockages and breaks
Weekly checks are important for equipment,
but fish and other living creatures are more
dynamic, so make sure to check your aquatic
pets daily as you would pets like cats or
dogs which demand your attention.
