Compatibility w/ Other Fish Species

Bolivian Butterfly Ram:
     -The Rams might get shooed away by a slap of the Blue Cheek's caudal fin or a gentle nip.

Keyhole Cichlid:
     -The Blue Cheek will get into shoving match with the Keyholes over territory because Keyholes love shelter and sometimes it encroaches on the Blue Cheek's territory. The battles are just fan slaps or whoever can chase the other with their mouths open... it's actually very entertaining as long as they have enough room to separate themselves later.

Kribensis:
     -Kribs are not a shy cichlid and can frustrate the Blue Cheek. The fights they can get into might seem a little intense, but no one is harmed. However, caution should still be taken before placing them together.
